Vacmould Displays now offers an in-house 3 & 5 axis CNC routing and trimming service. This can be utilised for trimming and modifying your own injection moulded, roto-moulded, or fabricated parts, or in conjunction with our own vacuum forming and product development services. It is a cost effective solution to your high capacity manufacturing needs.
We have two state of the art, CNC routers, each with a robotic head able to rotate on 5 axis and a large format bed size of 6m x 1600mm & a height clearance of 800mm. Our CNC machines and skilled operators can rapidly carry out precision machining of almost any kind of plastic or composite material.
Backing up our 5 axis machines, we have a smaller format 3-axis machine, which can be programmed for toolmaking and flat work in a wide variety of materials. This machine can also be programmed for horizontal drilling, allowing the location of cam locks and dowel joints. Typical applications include MDF & laminated timber profile cutting for the cabinet making and shop fitting industries, acrylic or ABS plastic shapes for fabrication, and pattern making applications for prototyping & production tooling.
We can accept most 2D and 3D file formats, while our design and development team use the latest surfacing and modelling software, as well as traditional CAD software, to take your model, sketch or idea into the marketplace quickly and efficiently.
In an endeavour to best utilise our technology, we employ a skilled computer systems engineer specialising in multi-axis machine programming, to ensure our machines are running at their maximum efficiency.
